Interested in research? Thinking of undertaking a PhD? Thinking of a career in academia? Why not consider undertaking a PhD in Maynooth University’s School of Business.

Not for the faint-hearted, a full-time PhD journey takes four years (six years part-time) and is a major intellectual undertaking, involving philosophy, theory and empirical research, focusing on a particular research question within a particular research discipline.

If it is something you are considering, why not consider undertaking a PhD in the School of Business at Maynooth University? The research interests of the School of Business faculty can be found here: https://www.maynoothuniversity.ie/school-business/our-people. My own research interests in the areas of qualitative research, HRM, careers, international mobility and identity can be accessed here: http://bit.ly/2quk8ww. I am interested in supervising PhD candidates with research interests aligned with my own.

Details on the process can be found here: https://www.maynoothuniversity.ie/school-business/information-prospective-postgraduate-students-research. This outlines the process and requirements to be fulfilled before being interviewed or considered for the programme. The process is purposefully detailed, to target most specifically those candidates who have given a lot of thought to undertaking a PhD, have considered their research area, have done research on faculty who could act as their supervisor, and who are committed to following a PhD. It is not for everyone!
